St. Louis area cover band My Own Medicine recently rocked the house at Ameristar Casino's Bottleneck Blues Bar in St.Charles Missouri. As they ripped open with Joan Jett's I Hate Myself for Lovin' You, the place got packed with family, friends, and many curious gamblers. The group played nearly 4 hours of high voltage tunes, including hot renditions of Jimi Hendrix (Purple Haze) and Pink (So What). The musical energy of My Own Medicine pumped the crowd to cheering and dancing. That night their set list covered songs spanning Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love to Katy Perry's Hot and Cold. Yes- this band has a cure for the work week blues.
